Lori is a member of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, The Missouri Bar, the Lawyers Encouraging Academic Performance Foundation, and the National Association of Counsel for Children. She is also a member of the Gillis Ambassadors and Friends of the Zoo organization. While in law school, she was assistant editor of the Urban Lawyer.

Lori is admitted to practice before the state courts of Missouri and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri.
