Ken is a partner in SHB's Miami, Florida office. Ken is nationally known for serving as lead litigation counsel for Fortune 500 corporations and his defense of class actions against the tobacco industry. His defense verdicts for high-profile cases have been noted by The National Law Journal as among the "Top 10 Verdicts” for three years in a row. Ken has been included in Expert Guides: Guide to the World's Leading Product Liability Lawyers (2007, 2009, 2010), Who’s Who Legal: The International Who’s Who of Business Lawyers (2009, 2010, 2011, 2012), Florida Super Lawyers (2008, 2009, 2011, 2012), Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business (2010, 2011, 2012), The Legal 500 United States (2010, 2011, 2012), The Best Lawyers in America (2010, 2011, 2013), and Lawdragon 500: Leading Lawyers in America (2011, 2012). He is a frequent lecturer on product liability and professional liability matters as well as trial techniques. Ken has served as lead counsel for Philip Morris and Lorillard in tobacco litigation. His tobacco trials include Fontana, Quiepo, French, Engle, Routh, Allen, Janoff, Beckum, Hess, Kalyvas, Gil de Rubio, Warrick, and Espinosa.
