It all began with one Missouri attorney. Frank Payne Sebree started a legacy in the late 1800s when he began working with his father in a law firm in Kansas City, Missouri. Attorney Edgar Shook, known for cleaning up corrupt local politics, joined him, along with two other Missouri attorneys, famed trial attorney Charlie L. Bacon and products liability expert David R. Hardy. The firm these men created is Shook, Hardy & Bacon, L.L.P. (SHB), a highly respected law firm known for powerhouse litigation, community involvement and extraordinary customer service.
