Geraghty, Sastre Assume Leadership Roles at SHB Miami
7/5/2012
Shook, Hardy & Bacon Partner Bill Geraghty has been named managing partner of the firm’s office in Miami. Partner Hildy Sastre now serves as SHB Miami’s administrative partner.
“Bill and Hildy, who have been with our firm since we established a presence in Miami in 1998, have developed into dynamic litigators and business managers, and we look forward to the benefit of their leadership so that our firm may continue to grow and thrive in South Florida,” said Lea Souza-Rasile, a former managing partner of SHB Miami who currently serves on the firm’s Executive Committee.
SHB is one of the 25 largest law firms in the Miami area, with 40 attorneys and 60 administrative staff working from the downtown Miami Center. Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business (2012) has recognized SHB as one of the strongest practices of its kind in Florida for its “expertise in complex commercial, product liability, environmental, employment and trade secret litigation.”
In addition to its recognition of the firm, Chambers USA specifically recognizes Geraghty as an “intellectual, client-friendly and a superb trial lawyer,” and Sastre as a “creative thinker with an easy demeanor and collaborative attitude.”
“Our new Miami leadership possesses a unique skill set with strengths not only in complex litigation but effective management styles that foster success among teams,” SHB Chair John Murphy said. “These traits would be considered a winning combination for any litigation firm, which is particularly why we are so pleased to have the benefit of their leadership at our firm.”
