Raz focuses his practice on the defense of individuals and companies involved in product liability and general liability matters. He has experience in all key stages of pretrial litigation—managing discovery, taking and defending depositions of key witnesses, and advocating for his clients in the courtroom or in mediations. Raz also enjoys noteworthy trial experience, having been a member of numerous trial teams that achieved successful results for Shook clients. His pro bono practice focuses on advancing the interests of children and families by volunteering as an attorney ad litem for Crossroads for Florida Kids, Inc.

Raz joined Shook after graduating from the University of Memphis, where he was a founding member and president of the International Law Students Association, an inaugural member of the Diversity Committee, and a judicial extern for The Hon. Bernice B. Donald of the U.S. Court of Appeals, Sixth Circuit, and for The Hon. Ed Bryant of the U.S. District Court, Western District of Tennessee. 

Raz was an accomplished collegiate tennis player, and remains an avid endurance sports enthusiast. He is fluent in his native tongue, Romanian.
