Zac focuses his practice on defending companies engaged in products liability, class action and consumer protection litigation in Latin America. Zac has also defended pharmaceutical companies and medical device manufacturers in complex litigation in U.S. state and federal courts.

As part of his practice, Zac works with an international team advising clients and national counsel on litigation and administrative claims in foreign courts. He analyzes complex legal issues and collaborates on various stages of litigation, from early case assessment and discovery through dispositive motion practice and trial preparation. Zac's work also includes finding potential counsel for new jurisdictions, preparing for evidentiary hearings, overseeing legal pleadings, conducting fact witness interviews and training company representatives.

Zac is committed to pro bono work and has represented adults and juveniles in family court. He joined Shook in 2010 after graduating from the University of Missouri School of Law, where he received a certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution and was inducted into the Order of the Coif. During law school, Zac participated in the university’s Family Violence Clinic, where he represented indigent clients in adoption proceedings and helped victims of domestic violence seek protective orders. An Shook Research Fellow (2007-2010), Zac also received the R. David Ray Trial Advocacy Award and CALI Excellence for the Future Awards for Advocacy, Family Violence and Public Policy; Family Violence Clinic; Transnational Litigation; and Business Torts.
