Kelly focuses on creditors’ rights, insurance matters and counterclaim defense. She manages a network of local firms throughout the United States and provides guidance and assistance at all stages of litigation, including pre-trial settlement negotiations, drafting discovery and dispositive motions, case management hearings and post-judgment enforcement. She also assists clients in resolving garnishment-related defaults and judgments.
Kelly also focuses her practice on the defense of pharmaceutical and medical device companies involved in products liability litigation. Before joining Shook, Kelly worked in Washington, D.C., assisting with large-scale commercial discovery preparation.
During law school, Kelly served as a law clerk for the Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney in Alexandria, Virginia. Her experience there included prosecuting misdemeanor domestic and juvenile crimes, negotiating plea agreements, drafting appellate briefs and assisting with discovery and case management. She was previously an intern for The Hon. Russell F. Canan of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia, in addition to serving as a senior editor of the Washington College of Law's Business Law Brief and a student attorney in its Civil Practice Clinic.
