Alison’s practice includes assisting clients in patent, trademark and general intellectual property matters. She prepares and prosecutes patents in a variety of technology areas, including pharmaceuticals, medical devices, chemicals, cosmetics, medical software, bioinformatics, and mechanical and computer software arts. Alison conducts invention disclosure meetings, drafts patent applications and license agreements, responds to office actions from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and performs patentability, non-infringement and patent invalidity evaluations. She also prepares and prosecutes trademark applications, and has experience counseling clients regarding patent and trademark prosecution strategies.
Alison was a technical services associate for a well-known Kansas-based biotechnology company. She provided technical support regarding product applications, manufacturing processes, quality testing, stability experimentation, experimental troubleshooting and cell culture techniques. She independently managed product investigations, experimentation and data collection, and wrote and reviewed technical literature for new or existing biotechnology products.
