Rachael represents a broad spectrum of clients in commercial, product liability and complex litigation matters. She works on all stages of litigation, devoting a significant portion of her practice to preparing company witnesses for deposition and trial. Rachael represents clients in the automotive industry—she was recently a member of a trial team that obtained a defense verdict for Ford Motor Company in a seven-week trial involving the design of the Ford Taurus—in addition to her work with clients in the pharmaceutical, tobacco, insurance and mortgage industries.
As a member of the firm’s Internet and Data Security Team, Rachael assists clients in dealing with the ever-changing threats faced by entities conducting business over the Internet. She counsels companies on how to defend their online environments and protect their customers through the civil litigation system.
Committed to pro bono work, Rachael has worked with several organizations to provide legal services to indigent clients in the Bay area. She is a member of the Eastern District of California’s Prisoner Pro Bono Panel, and she recently tried two cases representing clients who alleged Eighth Amendment violations under 28 U.S.C. § 1983.
