Lael represents pharmaceutical manufacturers, distributors and retailers in state, federal and multidistrict litigation including class action, complex and coordinated litigation. In her practice, Lael manages all facets of litigation from day-to-day case management, motion writing and court appearances to depositions and fact and expert witness development. She has frequently coordinated with counsel across jurisdictions in joint-defense groups and with local counsel on complex and coordinated litigation venued across the country.

Lael has experience in:

  • developing initial case assessments and strategies;
  • crafting pre-discovery and pre-trial dispositive motions;
  • deposing plaintiffs, experts and other key fact witnesses; and
  • Daubert motion practice.

Lael was selected as the firm’s representative to the Pfizer Legal Alliance Associates Roundtable in 2012 and acted as the chair of the Pfizer Legal Alliance Continuing Education program for several years. In addition to her litigation practice, Lael is a member of the firm’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee and received the firm’s Mosaic Award recognizing outstanding diversity and inclusion efforts at the firm and in the legal community in 2012. In addition, since 2010, she has been integrally involved in the Corporate Leadership Forum, hosted each year at the National Bar Association’s Annual Convention.
