Mike’s practice primarily focuses on defending large corporations in high-stakes litigation across the United States. He has extensive experience litigating complex product liability cases, representing manufacturers in the cigarette, pharmaceutical and medical device industries in state and federal courts. Through that experience, Mike is knowledgeable in all aspects of litigation from new matter through trial. Mike has worked on numerous winning trial teams, and two of his cases received recognition by The National Law Journal as “Defense Verdicts of the Year.” He regularly appears in both state and federal courts throughout the country. In addition to his primary practice, Mike devotes a significant amount of time to pro bono work and other charitable activities.

Mike also values training and mentoring young lawyers. He is an active member of the firm’s Professional Development Committee, and he has given presentations to lawyers regarding legal ethics in Missouri, California and Texas. In recognition of his efforts to serve as a mentor and cultivate positive working relationships, Mike was named the recipient of the Sylvan Siegler Award for Excellence in Mentoring.
