Fueled by exciting practice areas and advanced legal issues, SHB's summer program provides practical training with an insider's view of an intense and challenging legal culture.
Summer associates receive a mix of assignments, work with a cross-section of attorneys and are included in the life of the firm. Cultural and sporting events, weekend outings and intimate dinner parties at partners' homes help familiarize summer associates with the larger SHB community.
SHB wants summer associates with strong academic credentials and superior written and oral communication skills, as well as a good sense of humor. SHB looks for candidates who have journal experience, such as law review, or who are members of moot court. A candidate's prior work experiences and extracurricular interests are also considered.
SHB seeks candidates with the ability, character, judgment, personality, energy and commitment to develop into wise counselors, effective advocates and valued colleagues.
