KU Law Blog Features Two New Shook Attorneys

The University of Kansas School of Law’s Law Blog profiled recent law school graduates Jason Harmon and Paul Mose about balancing family life and school work during law school. Both Harmon and Mose graduated in May and will begin working for Shook, Hardy & Bacon in September as fall associates.

Mose, father of a 1-year-old, says in the article that he learned how to balance multiple priorities from Harmon, father of three children ages 4 and younger.

“I saw how he successfully balanced having a wife, three kids, living in the country, school and church responsibilities,” Mose said. “I imagine most in my class would agree that we’ve learned far more from our classmates than any particular class.”

Harmon says that he hit a point in his second year of law school where he wasn’t sure he could continue to balance such a heavy workload and have a balanced family life. Harmon talks of how he persevered by keeping his priorities in check, going home for dinner every night and spending time with his family on the weekends.
