Justus Earns KCATA Rosa Parks Spirit Award

The Kansas City Area Transportation Authority (KCATA) has recognized Shook’s Jolie Justus with its Rosa Parks Spirit Award. Justus, who represents the 4th District on the Kansas City City Council, earned the award for “making a difference in Kansas City and public transportation.”

The KCATA selected Justus for her continued “advocacy, leadership and support for public transportation.” As City Councilperson, Justus helped lead the way for voter approval of an $800 million general obligation bond to improve infrastructure, and was committed to extension of the RideKC streetcar and a new airport terminal at Kansas City International Airport.

Justus serves as Director of Shook’s Pro Bono Services and handles the day-to-day administration of the firm’s award winning pro bono program.
