The American Inns of Court are dedicated to promoting high levels of professionalism, including ethics and civility, in the practice of law. The Atlas IP Inn of Court is a member of the Linn Inn Alliance, which includes more than 25 intellectual property focused Inns. The Atlas IP Inn was formed in 2012 and is named for Judge Nancy F. Atlas, one of the Inn’s founders, who is a district judge for the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas.
Israel has been a master in the Atlas IP Inn since its inception and has served on the executive committee for the past few years. She also is an alumnus of the Giles S. Rich American Inn of Court.
“The Inns of Court presents a unique platform for lawyers, judges, academics and law students to build professional relationships, provide mentoring opportunities, share experiences, and advance ethics and civility in the profession. We owe it to our colleagues, our clients and the courts to aspire to the highest levels of professionalism,” stated Israel, a partner in the intellectual property practice at Shook in Houston. “The Inn provides a tremendous opportunity to foster relationships with newer lawyers and law students, in addition to more experienced attorneys and judges. It’s an honor, working with Judge Atlas and others in the Inn, to lead the organization and make an impact on the profession.”
