Israel To Chair AIPLA Roadshow in D.C.

Shook Partner Sharon Israel will chair and participate in “AIPLA on the Road: The Latest on Patent Practice Before the USPTO and the PTAB,” in at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in Alexandria, Virginia, August 27, 2019. 

This program will feature sessions on ensuring quality patents, an update on Section 101 and 112 guidelines and how they affect patent practice, an overview and update on trial practice before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, effective advocacy before the PTAB, and an interview with the Chief Judge of the PTAB. Whether you are a patent prosecutor or patent litigator, this program will include useful tricks of the trade to help you in your practice before the USPTO. 

The event will include interactive sessions with administrative patent judges and expert practitioners, and CLE credit is available. The event will take place at USPTO’s Clara Barton Auditorium, 600 Dulany St., Alexandria, Virginia.

Israel is the current chair of the Patent Trial and Appeal Board's Trial Committee, and is a past president of AIPLA (American Intellectual Property Law Association).
