Austin’s practice is focused on insurance and general tort liability litigation. Before joining Shook, she clerked for the Honorable D. Gregory Kays, Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the Western District of Missouri.  During her clerkship, Austin drafted proposed orders and legal memoranda, managed a portion of the judge’s civil docket, and assisted in trial preparation.

In law school, Austin was the associate editor-in-chief of the Missouri Law Review.  As a recipient of the Crahan Fellowship, she served as a summer judicial clerk to the Honorable Glenn A. Norton of the Missouri Court of Appeals for the Eastern District.

Outside of work, Austin enjoys cycling, traveling, and volunteering with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Kansas City.
