Erin concentrates her practice on business litigation, including tort, commercial law and complex class action (employment discrimination and wage-and-hour). She has represented clients in a range of industries, including pharmaceutical and medical device, steel manufacturing, automotive and energy. She also has substantial experience in environmental law, including litigation in connection with Superfund sites, administrative matters and class actions.

With extensive experience in pretrial preparation and strategic development, Erin helps her clients put all of the pieces together to build strong trial defenses and to plan business practices that will help them achieve their long-term goals. She especially focuses on the research and discovery analysis that is critical for successful drafting, motion practice and expert witness deposition.

Erin also is deeply committed to the Chicago community; she mentors high school students and has represented youth pro bono in delinquency proceedings. She currently serves as guardian ad litem for Chicago Volunteer Legal Services. Before joining Shook, she was an associate with a Chicago-based law firm where she handled real estate transactions, estate planning, contracts and loan agreements.
