Annie focuses her practice on business litigation defense. She has represented clients in employment disputes at the administrative charge level and in state and federal courts. Annie has broad experience litigating discrimination, harassment, retaliation and whistleblower claims, as well as those brought under the National Labor Relations Act. She counsels employers and local governments on their employment policies and practices. Before Shook, Annie worked as an associate attorney at Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith LLP in their labor and employment and general liability practices.

During law school Annie was a judicial clerk for the Hon. Michael J. Newman, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, where she drafted opinions and researched essential issues before the Court. She served as the chief justice for the University of Kansas Student Senate Court of Appeals, a publication editor for the Kansas Journal of Law and Public Policy and was the 10th Circuit director for the Federal Bar Association’s Law Student Division.
