Zac defends companies engaged in product liability and class action litigation around the world, and advises them on regulatory matters regarding consumer goods. He has also defended pharmaceutical companies and medical device manufacturers in complex litigation in state and federal courts throughout the United States. Zac works with an international team assisting clients and national counsel with litigation and administrative claims in foreign courts. He analyzes complex legal and regulatory issues and collaborates on various stages of litigation and regulatory engagement, from early case assessment and discovery through dispositive motion practice and trial preparation. Zac's work also includes preparing for evidentiary hearings, conducting fact witness interviews, working with consulting experts and training company representatives. On a secondment, Zac worked for six weeks at one of the leading business law firms in Brazil, gaining a deep understanding of their practice with major domestic and multinational clients and presenting to their practice groups on U.S. litigation and communication with foreign clients.

As a fluent Spanish and Portuguese speaker familiar with the local laws, procedures and regulations of a number of jurisdictions throughout Latin America, Zac is able to assist with the development of legal pleadings and strategy by national counsel. He has experience reviewing and analyzing court rulings, pleadings and other foreign-language legal documents to help monitor case developments and manage dockets. Zac has also collaborated on matters throughout Europe and Asia, and worked with his team to locate potential counsel for new foreign jurisdictions.

Zac is committed to pro bono work and has represented adults and juveniles in family court. He has also worked with a team to obtain significant financial restitution for a pro bono client who had been wrongfully incarcerated. During law school, Zac participated in his university’s Family Violence Clinic, where he represented indigent clients in adoption proceedings and helped victims of domestic violence seek protective orders.
