Bailey defends clients in product liability and general tort liability litigation matters throughout the country, focusing on thermal events resulting in fires and explosions, fire suppression and alarm systems, white collar crime, automotive products, and food, beverage and service-related personal injury. She represents service providers, insurance companies and product manufacturers in catastrophic loss, significant personal injury and wrongful death claims. She also assists and defends clients in white-collar crime cases across the nation.
Bailey is involved in all stages of pretrial and trial matters, including motion practice, depositions and witness preparation. She also has successfully drafted and argued multiple dispositive motions for several clients in jurisdictions across the U.S. Working closely with clients and routinely operating under alternative billing arrangements rather than the typical billable hour, Bailey achieves clients’ objectives by employing practical, efficient and strategic litigation tactics.
Before joining Shook, Bailey was a law clerk for the plaintiffs' firm Palmer Law Group, LLP, in Topeka, where she worked on medical malpractice and personal injury matters. During college, she worked as a legal assistant for two firms in Colorado and interned with the Colorado State Alternative Defense Counsel, where she worked with attorneys representing incarcerated clients awaiting trial.
