Ryan's practice focuses on the defense of corporations in complex product liability litigation, especially tobacco litigation. Ryan has helped prepare pre-trial motions and appellate briefs, collaborated on deposition strategy and issues related to expert witnesses in Florida, and conducted research on important legal issues related to complex litigation.

Ryan developed his advocacy skills during law school, where he competed in national and international moot court competitions. Ryan competed in the New York City Bar Association's National Moot Court Competition, and his team received the Best Brief Award in both the 2014 and 2015 Regional Rounds. Ryan was also a member of Stetson's Phillip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition team.

Ryan honed his researching and writing skills during an externship with the Hon. Elizabeth A. Kovachevich, where he drafted several dispositive orders and assisted with preparation for trials and hearings.
