Kate represents companies in product liability and personal injury litigation. Her clients include fire and security system manufacturers as well as foodservice and support services companies. She handles all aspects of cases from inception to settlement, arbitration or trial, including motion practice, witness preparation, depositions, written discovery, court conferences, arbitration and negotiations.

Before joining Shook, Kate spent five years defending companies against a variety of personal injury and construction defect claims, including slip-and-falls, actions related to automobile accidents and product liability claims involving complex pieces of equipment. The injuries at issue ranged in severity from soft tissue injuries to fatal incidents, and the cases provided Kate with significant local litigation experience in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Kate also served as a claims handler at Chubb, working with teams across the country to develop and implement defense strategies in insurance claims related to asbestos and chemical exposure.
