Jousef concentrates on complex litigation in the area of tort and product liability defense. Located in Chicago, Jousef is immersed in an office focused on business and commercial litigation matters while actively supporting product liability issues. 

Jousef is engaged in a variety of pre-trial procedures. He has supported on several class action depositions involving plaintiff, spousal and expert witnesses. He also serves on the firm’s Legal Issues Group or “LIG,” a complex briefing group handling work for multiple clients across numerous jurisdictions. In this role, Jousef contributes by drafting a variety of pretrial motions, carrying out strategic research projects, providing remote trial support, helping with jury instructions and assisting with post-trial and appellate work.

During law school, Jousef was the managing editor on the Michigan State Law Review, competed in two national moot court competitions and was a part of Michigan State University College of the Law’s Michigan Leadership Initiative (MLI) and Geoffrey Fieger Trial Practice Institute (TPI). Jousef also has an undergraduate degree in accounting and served in three internships working as a financial analyst, purchaser and auditor for BorgWarner, Continental Automotive and Plante Moran. This experience gives Jousef insights into the various financial aspects of each of his client’s legal matters and is an invaluable asset for Jousef’s ability to connect with and serve his clients.
