Ian is an attorney with the firm's Intellectual Property Practice Group.
 
He received his J.D. from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law, graduating summa cum laude. During law school, he served as an intern to Chief Judge Beth Phillips of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri. He also participated in the Intellectual Property Clinic, supporting local businesses with IP strategy and protection.
 
Before his legal career, Ian was a controls engineer for a Fortune 500 company, where he developed distributed control systems to regulate industrial processes and machinery. He earned his bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Washington University in St. Louis.
