Payne Speaks at Florida Conference

Darrell Payne, a Partner in SHB’s Miami office, was a speaker at the third annual Law & Technology Conference organized by the University of Florida Levin College of Law in Orlando on Feb. 20. Payne’s presentation focused on ethical issues and E-discovery.

The all-day conference included a keynote presentation by James E. Rogan, immediate past director of the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office and former Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property. Lawyers from firms and companies throughout Florida, including representatives from Motorola, Oracle and DHL, attended the conference.

Payne focuses his practice on commercial litigation, including contract disputes, business torts, intellectual property, real estate litigation, banking litigation and eminent domain. He was recognized in 2001 by the Miami Metro Magazine Legal Guide as one of the top lawyers in South Florida.
