SHB Hosts Open House in KC

More than 200 invited guests attended Shook, Hardy & Bacon’s Open House at the firm’s new 24-story building in Kansas City at 2555 Grand Boulevard on Monday. The event was called “A View From the Top” and guests certainly got to see great views of the city from the 24th floor.

Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres were served on the 24th floor, while attendees were treated to lavish desserts on the third floor in the Bistro. Tours of the 21st floor were also given to the guests, many of whom were seeing the SHB offices for the first time.

SHB attorneys in Kansas City hosted a large number of clients and guests at the Open House, which included representatives from Bank of America, Commerce Bank, Enterprise Bank, HNTB Corporation, J.E. Dunn Construction Company, Premium Standard Farms, Inc. and U.S. Bank. The general counsels from Country Club Bank, Data Systems International, Kansas City Life Insurance, UMB Bank and University Physicians Association also attended along with the assistant general counsels from Aquila and H&R Block. Inc.

Several dignitaries were also at the Open House: Kay Barnes, Mayor of Kansas City, Missouri; Bill Lucas, president of Crown Center Redevelopment Corp.; Donald Hall Sr. and Jr. of Hallmark Cards, Inc.; and Judge Dennis Dow of the U.S. District Court, Western District of Missouri.
