SHB Honored for Involvement In BASF’s No Glass Ceiling Initiative
SHB’s San Francisco office, a signatory to the Bar Association of San Francisco's (BASF) No Glass Ceiling Initiative, will be honored at BASF’s annual lunch on December 15, 2005, for its achievements in having the most women in management and women partners. The Initiative sought compliance with the goals of at least 25% women partners and at least 25% women in management positions by January 1, 2005. “We are very proud of these firms and legal departments which have exceeded the goals of the initiative and demonstrated that the glass ceiling can and will continue to be broken. We applaud them for their leadership,” said Mary Cranston, Co-Chair of the No Glass Ceiling Task Force.
Tammy Webb, Partner in SHB’s San Francisco office, was quoted in a recent article in The Recorder, titled, “Glass Ceiling Lifts at More San Francisco Firms,” as saying, "A lot of clients want diverse attorneys representing them," and "Women in this office are seen as the go-to people for our clients."
