Firm Scores Big Win for Lilly

Shook lawyers Michelle Mangrum, John Kuckelman, Chad Coots, and Emily Laird recently prevailed before a federal district court in New York on behalf of client Eli Lilly and Co.  At issue was whether someone who had ingested the generic equivalent of a name-brand prescription drug could hold the name-brand manufacturer responsible for his injuries.  In a well-reasoned opinion, the court dismissed all of the claims against Lilly and entered judgment in Lilly's favor.
