Adams, McLarney Named Missouri's "Top Lawyers"

SHB Partners Rob Adams and Pat McLarney  have been selected as "Top Lawyers" in 2006 by Missouri Lawyers Weekly.  The publication this year recognized eight Missouri attorneys and judges for their accomplishments.  Shook, Hardy & Bacon was the only firm in the state with more than one attorney selected.

While Pat was profiled for his successful term as president of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association (KCMBA), Rob was commended for his success in the courtroom over the past year.  His 2006 trials included significant matters in such disparate industries as automotive, food/poultry distribution, and drill manufacturing. 

"The most important part is being able to explain to the average person why you should win…you're trying to take a very complex issue and simplify it and show why you're right," Rob said.

In 2006, Pat oversaw the advocacy of raising the state's judges pay for the first time in six years.  Much of his time was spent meeting with legislators, including three continuous weeks at the Capitol near the session's closing. 

Both attorneys were also named among the Best Lawyers in America and the Kansas City Business Journal's "Best of the Bar," closing out a successful 2006.
