NAFE/Flex-Time Lawyers Recognize Shook as a Best Law Firm for Women

Working Mother Media’s National Association of Female Executives (NAFE) and Flex-Time Lawyers have named Shook, Hardy & Bacon as a 2011 Best Law Firm for Women.

Shook will be featured among the 50 Best Law Firms for Women in the fall issue of NAFE magazine and Working Mother magazine for its commitment to “supporting female lawyers with work-life balance and women-friendly policies that retain and promote top female talent.” Working Mother specifically highlights Shook’s Women’s Management Council, the firm’s Success Profile Project, and its alternative-work-schedule policy as “cutting-edge solutions to meet the needs of women attorneys” at the firm.

“It is a privilege to have our efforts recognized by the National Association of Female Executives, Working Mother magazine and Flex-Time Lawyers,” said Shook Partner Leanne DeShong, who chairs the firm’s Women’s Management Council. “As we continue our work to find innovative ways to support women attorneys at our firm, it is rewarding to also see many of our peer firms embracing similar policies and initiatives that create real opportunity for women lawyers throughout the legal profession.”
