Ingram’s identified Shook, Hardy & Bacon Partner Rob Adams as a “Legal Rainmaker” and named Associate Jennifer Artman to its “20 in Their Twenties” list in its September 2014 issue. As a Rainmaker, Adams is “elevating Kansas City’s reputation as a center for legal excellence,” and Adams told the magazine, “I love living in KC and being part of our great legal community.”
On its “20 in Their Twenties” list, Ingram’s identified young professionals with an entrepreneurial spirit from a wide range of industries. The sole member of the legal community on the list, Artman was highlighted for her writing and analysis skills and her contributions to the verdict that won Top Defense Verdict at the 2014 Missouri Lawyer Awards.
Shook again held the top spot in Ingram’s list of the 50 largest law firms in Kansas City. The magazine highlighted the firm’s successes in the courtroom, the addition of the Denver office, flex-time work policy and Who’s Who Legal and Chambers USA honors. Adams and Shook Partner Harvey Kaplan also participated in a roundtable discussion for Ingram’s annual Legal Industry Outlook, where they both pointed to the importance of personal connections to success in a legal career. Adams credited Shook with teaching its attorneys the skills required for rainmaking, such as developing a solid elevator speech and keeping attorney biographies updated.
