Shook Attorneys Present at International Bar Association Conference

Shook, Hardy & Bacon Partners Greg Fowler and Marc Shelley contribute to the 2016 International Bar Association (IBA) Conference September 18-23, 2016, at the Washington Marriott Wardman Park in Washington, D.C.

Co-chair of IBA’s Product Law and Advertising Committee and Shook London Managing Partner, Fowler co-presents “Food safety – challenges in modernising products regulation and enhancing international coordination and cooperation” on September 19. He is joined by Sarah Roller, partner with Kelley Drye & Warren LLP.

Shelley co-chairs “Life cycle of a product part 1 – the inception, from the plan to the product” on September 20. The program is presented by the International Sales Committee and the Product Law and Advertising Committee and covers the inception of a product through its launch from a legal perspective. Shelley’s fellow chairs are John Eastwood, partner with Eiger Law in Taipei, Taiwan; and Jochem Nikkels van der Veen, founding partner with Joint Forces Legal in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Shelley also serves as Newsletter Editor of the Product Law and Advertising Committee.

The Product Law and Advertising Committee focuses on “a broad range of topics and problems, which are of increasing importance to the international lawyer in both national and transnational work in the field of product law and advertising.”
