Shook Attorneys Present at ACC Chicago Luncheon

Shook, Hardy & Bacon Chicago Managing Partner Todd Jacobs and Partners Matthew Bills and Anna Knight discuss “Privilege and the In-House Attorney” at the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) Chicago luncheon at Petterino’s on January 18, 2017 in Chicago, Illinois.

The panel highlights privilege and protection issues as they relate to challenges that in-house counsel face. The group explores questions like, “What law governs? Can I anticipate this in advance? What are the implications of the control group test? Are transactional lawyers’ notes protected? How do courts distinguish between business and legal advice?” among other issues.
