Saikali Shares Cloud Computing Resources for Lawyers in The Florida Bar News
Shook, Hardy & Bacon Partner Al Saikali is helping Florida lawyers get the information they need to choose a cloud service provider. Saikali, who chairs the Florida Bar’s Technology Committee and the Privacy and Data Security Practice at Shook, discusses the committee’s new Quick Start Guide on Cloud Computing in “Thinking of storing information in the cloud? PRI knows the questions you should ask,” in the July 2017 issue of The Florida Bar News.
“Two things are happening more than ever right now,” said Saikali. “Lawyers are using the cloud to store sensitive information; and lawyers are under attack from cyber criminals looking to steal information.”
The Technology Committee has also annotated a detailed list of standards in Due Diligence Considerations for Lawyers Evaluating Cloud Computing Service Providers, covering encryption, preventing data breaches and compliance issues.
