Shook Partners to Present at Drug & Medical Device Litigation Conference

Shook Partners Matt Keenan and Buffy Mims will be part of a presentation and panel discussion at the 22nd Annual Conference on Drug & Medical Device Litigation, New York City, December 4-6, 2017.

Keenan is a featured speaker on “Strategies for Opposing Trials With Multiple Plaintiffs.” Joining Keenan on the panel will be Senior Litigation Counsel, Endo Pharmaceuticals, Jobina Jones-McDonnell, and the Assistant General Counsel, Genentech, Mary-Alice Barnett.

Mims will be part of a panel discussion on “Disrupting the Mass Tort Industry.” Mims is an accomplished trial attorney who has handled cases in a wide range of practice areas, including product liability, toxic torts, and environmental.

Her fellow panelists for this American Conference Institute (ACI) event include Executive Vice President/Chief Legal Officer Matthew Maletta, Endo Pharmaceuticals; and Senior Vice President – Global Litigation PD Villarreal, GlaxoSmithKline.

The panelists will be discussing product liability litigation in the U.S. highlighting what key current trends mean for the industry, where this litigation will likely be in five years, and how companies and counsel can adapt and prepare now.
