Saikali to Speak at 2018 Global Privacy Summit

Shook Partner Al Saikali will be presenting a session on biometric privacy class lawsuits for the 2018 Global Privacy Summit March 27-28, 2018, in Washington D.C., titled “Everything You Need to Know About Biometric Privacy Class Action Lawsuits.” The session includes a panel consisting of Al Saikali, Christopher Dore, partner at Edelson PC and Serge Jorgensen, CTO at Sylint. The session takes place Wednesday, March 28.

The session will discuss how to proactively prepare for and minimize the risk of biometric privacy laws, the legal issues that arise in biometric privacy litigation and the technology underlying biometric privacy that every privacy officer must understand in order to know what questions to ask his/her information security personnel for compliance purposes. Attendees can expect to take away an understanding of biometric privacy technology, the statutes and regulations governing biometric privacy and the lawsuits arising from alleged biometric privacy violations.

The Global Privacy Summit is organized by the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
