Keenan and IADC Host Pro Bono Partnership Event

Counsel for some of the nation’s largest companies met in Santa Barbara, California, to discuss the latest trend in pro bono services—collaborating with outside counsel.

Todd Stillerman of Bank of America, Jamie Spataro of FedEx Ground and Beth Henderson of Microsoft talked about their "private/public" pro bono partnerships with their outside law firms at the International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC) Midyear Meeting, February 25, 2019. During "Pro Bono Partnerships with Clients: Three Case Studies," the three talked about the significant legal victories they have achieved for the poor and indigent in their communities, enlisting attorneys who otherwise would have demurred. 

Shook Partner Matt Keenan, a longtime pro bono advocate for veterans, serves as the chair of IADC’s Social Justice Pro Bono Committee and helped organize the event.
