Three Shook Attorneys Featured at ABA Motor Vehicle Product Liability Conference

Three Shook partners—Managing Partner Amir Nassihi, Andrew Chang and Holly Smith—will be presenters at the 2019 Emerging Issues in Motor Vehicle Product Liability Litigation Conference in San Diego, California, April 3-5, 2019. The conference is sponsored by the ABA Tort, Trial & Insurance Practice Section (TIPS).

The conference program will present leading figures from the industry, in-house counsel, and trial and appellate lawyers covering the issues that are on the cutting edge of what is happening in both the industry and the courtroom. Among the faculty are leading trial lawyers from throughout the country, along with senior in-house counsel, who will address legal and technical issues relevant to motor vehicle products litigation as well as recent developments in class actions, regulatory developments, automotive asbestos litigation, trial related topics, and issues unique to component part manufacturers.

Nassihi will moderate “A View From the Bench: Judicial Perspectives on Managing Complex Litigation, Diversity in the Courtroom, and Developing the Next Generation of Lead Lawyers” with Khaldoun Baghdadi of Walkup, Melodia, Kelly & Schoenberger, and Kyle Neal, Senior Counsel for Nissan North America. He also is co-chair of the event.

Chang, chair of TIPS’ products liability committee, will be giving opening remarks and moderating “Key Considerations in Managing and Handling Products-Related Class Actions.” Smith will be one of the panelists for the session.
