McDonough Featured Speaker for "Gender Diversity for a New Generation"
Partner and Chair Madeleine McDonough will be a featured presenter for “Gender Diversity for a New Generation in a Global Legal Profession – UK and US Perspectives,” at Lexis House in London, June 5, 2019.
Sponsored by the Institute for Inclusion in the Legal Profession and LexisNexis, the day-long event will examine what gender diversity means for today’s generation of women lawyers on both sides of the Atlantic. Recent global research from the Law Society of England and Wales has found that the gender diversity priorities of women lawyers today differ from those in the past, as well as from what the legal profession has assumed were primary issues for women.
In addition to McDonough, speakers include: Christina Blacklaws, President of the Law Society of England and Wales; Sarretta McDonough, President of the National Association of Women Lawyers; Jill Lynch Cruz, one of the researchers/authors of the Hispanic National Bar Association’s Latina Commission’s report on the status of Latinas in the legal profession; Blair Macdonald, Head of Legal at LexisNexis UK; Joanna Weller, Global Legal & Regulatory Compliance Counsel at LexisNexis; Angela Winfield, Associate Vice President for Inclusion and Workforce Diversity at Cornell University; and Yasmin Sheikh, Founder of Diverse Matters.
