Josh Becker Appointed to Atlanta Legal Aid Advisory Board
Atlanta Legal Aid has appointed Shook Partner Josh Becker to its Advisory Board effective immediately. While Becker has long volunteered his legal services to the organization, this new role allows him to help guide Atlanta Legal Aid in its mission to help those who cannot afford legal representation.
“It is deeply rewarding to work with families in Atlanta to help them resolve their legal problems,” stated Becker. “Joining the advisory board of one of the premier pro bono organizations in Atlanta is an honor. I look forward to partnering with lawyers across our city to ensure that the goals of Atlanta Legal Aid are fulfilled.”
Since 1924, Atlanta Legal Aid has offered free civil legal aid for low-income people across metro Atlanta. It assists with more than 20,000 cases staffed by its 75 attorneys and 1,200 volunteers every year.
Becker is a seasoned trial attorney with a national practice concentrating on high-profile complex litigation. In June, he joined Shook when it expanded its geographic reach by adding an Atlanta office and offering legal services in complex litigation, including mass torts and class actions.
