Oot and Vieux to Moderate Panels at GICLI Annual Meeting

Partner Patrick Oot and Of Counsel Steve Vieux will moderate panels at the 5th Annual Meeting of The Government Investigations & Civil Litigation Institute (GICLI) in Lake Tahoe, Nevada, October 14-16, 2019. 

Vieux will moderate “BIPA, GDPR and Now the California CCPA – 2020 Deadline? What’s Next?” which will examine the legal and practical steps companies will need to take to ensure compliance with new privacy laws. Scheduled panelists are Fallon DePina Banks, senior associate general counsel for privacy at United Health Group; Richard Hunter, senior privacy counsel at Abbott Laboratories; David Moncure, vice president and associate general counsel for Information Lifecycle Governance at DaVita.; and James Simatacolos, managing counsel for data privacy and security at Toyota Motor North America. 

Oot will moderate “U.S. Attorney Panel – Enforcement Trends in the Current Administration.” Oot serves on GICLI’s Advisory Board, and is Co-Chair of Shook’s Investigations + Pretrial Strategies Practice Group.
