Bloomberg Law and Law360 Report on Taxotere Win for Shook Client
Bloomberg Law twice reported on the summary judgment awarded to a Shook client in “Sanofi Exits Some Taxotere Suits, More Dismissals Expected,” and “Sanofi Beats Taxotere Claims Over Post-2015 Hair Loss Warnings.” The articles, which tell of a federal court’s dismissal of failure to warn claims of approximately 200 users of the cancer drug Taxotere, detail the decision reached by the court in favor of Shook’s client and drugmaker Sanofi.
The court noted, “Plaintiffs had ample time and opportunity to identify and present expert evidence supporting their argument that permanent hair loss should have been addressed in the ‘warnings and precautions’ section of the label. Yet Plaintiffs failed to do so.”
Law360 also reported on the win in, “Sanofi Boots Some Plaintiffs From Chemo Hair Loss MDL,” as did Drug & Device Law in, “More Great News From the Taxotere MDL.”
Shook Partners Harley Ratliff, Jon Strongman and Adrienne Byard represented Sanofi.
