Shook Chair Madeleine McDonough to Join Upcoming ALAS Diversity Panel

Shook Chair Madeleine M. McDonough will join an upcoming panel discussion hosted by the Attorneys’ Liability Assurance Society (ALAS) on fostering a firm diversity pipeline on Thursday, November 19. McDonough will be joined by external senior counsel members, program directors and university deans to answer participant questions.

This one hour virtual meeting “Expanding the Pipeline: Intentional Recruiting, Hiring, and Promotion,” offers continuing legal education (CLE) credit and begins at Noon, Central Standard Time. This webinar is part of an ongoing ALAS DEI series that takes an in-depth look into ways in which professionals in the legal industry can create and foster a wide community of diverse talent from education to recruitment to professional advancement. At Shook, diversity and inclusion is an essential part of the firm vision statement:

“A diverse environment where everyone is respected, feels appreciated and experiences fulfillment and enjoyment through meaningful contributions.”

Panelists will lead a discussion on where there are opportunities for change and growth in this pipeline and give insight on practical suggestions that firms can implement as part of its internal diversity, equity and inclusion efforts. ALAS members can register for this event online by contacting meetingsinfo alas.com.
