Shook Commemorates Anniversary of George Floyd Death with Guest Speaker on Social Justice

Dr. Eddie S. Glaude Jr., chair of Princeton’s Department of African American Studies, hosted a virtual discussion with Shook attorneys and professional staff on Tuesday, May 25, in respect of the one-year anniversary of George Floyd’s death and the impact it has had on American society. This discussion was part of the firm’s “Pathways to Inclusion” webinar series, and an opportunity to bring all of Shook together for an open and honest dialogue on the state of social justice and the Black experience in America.

“Race & Social Justice: A Year of Conflicts, Change and Challenges Commemorating the Anniversary of the Death of George Floyd and Where We Have Come in the Past Year,” will “bear witness to the difficult truth in our country today” as Dr. Glaude brought to light the history of race and trauma in this webinar seeking what individuals can do to continue to build a more inclusive future.
