The Legal 500 US Recognizes Shook in Multiple Practice Areas

The Legal 500 United States has again recognized Shook as one of the premier litigation firms in the country, giving top marks to eDiscovery and product liability practices, including the firm’s environmental litigation in a top tier of the annual rankings. 

Shook’s eDiscovery received a Tier 1, with Co-Chair of the Data and Discovery Strategies Practice Group Patrick Oot recognized as a “Leading Lawyer.” 

Shook received a Tier 2 ranking in Product Liability, Mass Tort and Class Action Defense: Toxic Tort, for excellence in environmental law, including regulatory compliance, transactional work and all types of governmental and private litigation matters. Shook Co-Chair of the Environmental and Toxic Tort Litigation Practice Group David Erickson was recognized as being in the “Hall of Fame.” 

Other Tier 2 recognitions in the Product Liability, Mass Tort and Class Action – Defense category include Automotive/Transport, with Partner Frank Kelly being recognized in the “Hall of Fame”; Consumer Products (including Tobacco), with Partner Kenneth Reilly named to the “Hall of Fame;” and Pharmaceutical and Medical Devices.

Cyber Law, including Data Privacy and Data Protection, was rated a Tier 4. 

Shook was also recognized for excellence in multiple practice categories in 2020.
