Shook Attorneys Will Speak at Drug and Medical Device Litigation Conference

Shook FDA Regulatory Of Counsel Kristin Kaplan and Partner and Chair of Firmwide Diversity & Inclusion Initiatives John Lewis, Jr. will be speaking at the 2021 ACI Drug and Medical Device Litigation Conference to be held December 7  ̶  8 at the Marriott Marquis, New York, New York. 

Kaplan will be one of three panelists for “FDA Think Tank: Examining the Latest FDA Initiatives Influencing the Products Liability Sphere,” December 7, 11:00 a.m. ET. Topics explored include what future FDA approval processes and timelines will look like moving forward given the accelerated approvals of the last two years during the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Lewis will be one of three speakers in the “Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Town Hall: A Candid Discussion About Drivers of Successful DE&I Initiatives—What’s Working, What’s Not, and How We Can Do Better,” December 8, 1:30 p.m. ET. Topics discussed include the specific evidence of diversity in-house legal departments are seeking from outside counsel when vetting and choosing law firms to represent them, and what equity in the workplace looks like and how to implement it. This is an open forum with a Q&A session for participants.

The conference is geared toward drug and medical device product liability lawyers looking to gain essential winning litigation strategies.
