Washingtonian Selects Shook Partner for ‘Lifetime Achievement’ List

Washingtonian magazine selected Shook partner Michelle Mangrum among its Top Lawyers in D.C. in 2022.

The magazine called this year’s list, featured in its September issue, its “lifetime achievement” honor roll. The list was comprised of attorneys who have been selected for prior lists for at least 10 of the past 15 years. Attorneys are selected for the magazine’s Top Lawyers lists through peer surveys.

Mangrum is a partner in Shook’s product liability practice. She defends some of the world’s largest pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers in product liability and commercial litigation matters. In addition to her 35-plus years of litigation experience, she is also a registered nurse, which gives her a deeper understanding of the science involved in her legal work.

She led Shook’s Washington, D.C. office for 13 years, served on the firm’s Management Council for over a decade and received the John F. Murphy Compass Award for Leadership for her accomplishments in these roles.
