Law School Features Shook Associate’s Journey to Legal Excellence

Shook Associate Daria Pietropaolo is the subject of the feature story, “From Aspirations to Accomplishments: Recent Grad’s Journey to Legal Excellence in Business Law and Litigation,” published by the University of Miami School of Law. The article traces Pietropaolo’s legal roots from childhood aspirations and experiences, through law school to present day accomplishments, naming her “a rising star as a business litigation attorney with extensive training in international arbitration.”

The University’s article details Pietropaolo’s college career, with its many experiences and awards, noting a study abroad in Rome for classes on alternative dispute resolution, including negotiation, mediation and arbitration.

“I found that I had an interest in arbitration and cross-border disputes,” Pietropaolo said, and stated that she enjoys working to “solve problems with people that have different experiences, different backgrounds, and therefore, different approaches to and interpretations of the law.”

Last year, the University of Miami Alumni Association named Pietropaolo to its “30 under 30” list based on the influence she has had in her profession, her community and at the University.
