The Supreme Court Webinar─Shook Attorneys Review The Roberts Court

Join us September 25, 12:00 – 1:15 p.m. CT, for an in-depth analysis of the U.S. Supreme Court’s 2024–2025 term, where the Roberts Court continued to shape the legal landscape—often from behind the scenes. This webinar will explore how recent decisions reflect a growing trend toward expanding presidential authority, frequently through the Court’s shadow docket. Highlights include key cases shaping constitutional and administrative law, civil rights, environmental and employment law, and civil procedure.

In this webinar, Shook Partner John Barkett, adjunct professor of law at the University of Miami School of Law, will provide commentary on these decisions, answer questions along the way and provide insights on what could be in store for the future term. Based on his “The Roberts Court 2024-2025 White Paper,” this interactive webinar will be moderated by Shook Partner Bill Martucci, and is eligible for CLE credits. While the webinar is complimentary, registration is required.

Barkett earned his J.D. from Yale Law School. He served as a member of the Advisory Committee for Civil Rules of the Federal Judicial Conference and the American Bar Association’s Standing Committee on Ethics and Professional Responsibility. His work as a commercial and environmental lawyer includes managing complex litigation matters in Federal and state courts or before an arbitration tribunal. He was named Lawyer of the Year by The Best Lawyers in America and was given the Lifetime Achievement Award from The Daily Business Review.
